To call an ambulance from any landline (fixed phone) in Australia, dial 000 (triple zero).

To dial emergency from a mobile phone, dial 112. 112 will always work no matter the mobile phone or network.

Mobile phones generally do get coverage in the Glasshouses, so it could be a good idea to carry one, if only to let people know you've been benighted and are going to be home much later than expected!

Keep in mind however that rescues in the Glasshouses are very difficult and could prove costly. So don't get into trouble!
